The Community Engagement Initiative (CEI) delivers 6-day intensive trainings in social cohesion, leadership skills, civic education, and peacebuilding. Facilitators build relationships with diverse community groups and design trainings to meet their needs. Presently, CEI trainings are conducted in over 30 villages in urban and rural locations in Sittwe. Prior to August 2017, CEI trainings were also conducted in Rathedaung, Maungdaw and Buthidaung townships in northern Rakhine. Nearly 3000 individuals have participated in CEI trainings.
